Hi all~ I am starting to name my characters , and I am having trouble with one of them , so I need your help.
I am planning on using fruit as this character's name , and so far, I liked Cherry and Lemon best. I asked for my friends opinion on which to use, but unfortunately, it's a tie (Both gets 3 votes.)

by His name is Kay he's a wanderer who lost his mother to a group of bandits who tried to kill him as well as taking his right eye. He wears his mother's pendant and weilds a broken sword that belonged to his father who died in battle before he was born. He loves money, dating, fighting, and treasure. He hates people asking about his eyepatch, having women dump him, losing money, finding empty treasure chests, and most importantly losing a fight.

by He is a slightly-crazy fighter who, thanks to hours with a sewing machine, has put thousands of zippers on his clothing. He basically fights by pulling things out of the various zippers to fight with, and he can use pretty much anything: guns, swords, hammers, staffs, houses, ect.
The zippers can fit anything in them. I don't know why. But, if he decides to open them all at the same time, be becomes possesed by a a demon and he takes on a spider-like form. So there ya go.

by Physical Description: Lean, lanky man who wears a ragged cloak and covers his mouth with a cloth mask. His eyes dart every which way constantly. Has a scar around his neck from an attempted hanging that he managed to slip out of.

Traits: Very observant due to immense paranoia. Ival is very stealthy and notices everything around him, thinking that at any time something will come out and kill him.

Why he's so crazy: He was a high up member in a large gang of cutthroats and brigands, and he began to want to get out. One night, he took his belongings and left, thinking that they would respect him after so many years of service. Instead, they sent out three men to capture him, torture him, and eventually hang him. He was too good, and managed to slip his hands free from the ropes, untie the noose as he was hanging on it, and crawl away into the night. Ever since, he has become increasingly paranoid that anyone could be an agent from the gang, and they could be anywhere. It has grown to the point of him always sleeping alone, never showing all of his face to anyone, and hunting and cooking his own food, lest it be poisoned.

And there you go! He would serve as the observer in a team, and he would not get along too well with them, but a tense alliance could still be formed. Have fun with your project!

I am reading HxH..

The series stopped (stopped, not ended) for more than a year.... To be honest, I didn't like ant arc much, I really wish it could've ended at greedisland.
So when it stopped, I didn't feel upset, nor happy.
Now that the author re-started drawing it again, yes I am very very surpised that he picked it up again, though I don't know if it should be a good news or a bad news to me, cause I liked the manga so much , it means now I will have to see it's end and possibily an end that has nothing to do with the original story.

I must say though, although I didn't really like the ant arc(because it's so unlike Togashi's style, it came out from no where), but... it still gives me thrills that no other comic can give me..
The steps they took to get close to the king.. the planning.... the action.. chapter 263 totally took my breath away...and I am so eager to see what's going to happen next.
I was touched.. how can someone manage to draw something this breath taking?

If you go to some HxH forums, you will see that people usually make an essay as to why they love HxH and why it's good, you rarely see the normal comments like :"because xxx is cool" "Because it's funny" "because xxx is hot." , which are the common comments you see for mainstream manga/anime now adays.
And whenever there's a Togashi Yoshihiro discussion , you will always see a couple of comments saying he's a genius(and yes, even in Japan or Chinese forum, you will see the same thing, comments saying he's a genius) , which is something you don't see when people are discussing other mangakas.

If you are already bored of the regular mainstream stuff and are looking for a shounen manga that can give you entertainment yet has alot of depth and that it's totally different from the mainstream, go for HxH.
(you know , the regular smoke or lighting effect fights with not much of a move, places blown up, transforming, break a leg or 2 or loses tons of blood but still able to get up, the main character ALWAYS win by their strong will, half a book of useless flash backs kind of things?Oh and I really hate this too, the mangaka gives you hints that the character died, like a butterfly flew by, or the character got a very deep cut and a panel showing him fall and showing all the blood, but in 2 pages later the character can move normally as if nothing happened but only wrapped around with bandage as if they are only there for decoration. With HxH , you won't see all these craps.).

Manga is the Japanese word for "comic", therefore, manga and comic are the same thing.
It feels awkward when I see people pointing fingers at art and say :"this is not real manga."
I will not call a comic "Japan comic" if it's originally done in another language and that your main audiences are not Japanese even if it's drawn in mainstream anime style.
The only way to produce a "Japan comic" is to get it all done in Japanese and your main market is aiming at Japan.
