Recently, my bro's house got another kitten.
I received a phone from my friend , telling me that his friend received a kitten as a b-day present, but she can't keep the cat, nor knows how to take care of one, so she had to look for another person to take care of it.
He asked if I can take care of it(FYI, I already have 2 cats.), after abit of conversation, I was abit shocked to know that the kitten didn't have any food at that moment(cause they don't know what to feed the kitty), and the kitty's toilet is a box of newspapers....So basically, they received nothing but the kitten, no food, no toilet, no information on how to take care of one, they didn't even know how old exactly the kitten was.
My bro ended up taking care of it.

I was even more shocked when I saw the kitty, she was only 2-3 weeks old, very tiny, can barely walk.
2-3 weeks is WAYYY too early to take it away from it's mom. Normally, you don't take the kitty away from it's mom until at least it is 8 weeks old.

Moral of the story? Don't buy pets as a gift under any circumstance. Even if your friend tells you that he likes animal and wants one. Do not get the person one until you are 100% sure that he knows how to take care of one, and that he CAN take care of one. His family members might simply hate animal, or one of his family member might be allergic to animal.

I know this is something that not everyone knows, since I am a cat lover and this just happened, might as well spread this little knowledge out so something like this won't happen again.

Do not buy pets as gift, ever.
